December 02, 1937 - August 19, 2026

Wade H. Breazel, Jr. (Breezy)

Wade “Breezy” Breazel, 88, passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2026, surrounded by his beloved daughters. He was born on December 2nd, 1937, in Savannah, Georgia — son of Wade Hampton Breazel and Minnie Ann Williams Allen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, with whom he shared nearly 52 years of marriage.

Breezy is survived by his daughters, April Moore (James) and Amy Doronio (Jaime), and Jenna Wade, his only grandchild.

Breezy was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate, Airman. During his service, he developed a lifelong love of aviation while working with the Blue Angels and traveling the world.

He also enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was boating, fishing, or hunting in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California.

He is also survived by his siblings, Linda L. Church (Bruce), Charles R. Breazel (Doris Ann), Carolyn Sue Tackett, Joy Threatt, Cindy Hendricks, John Breazel (Linda), and Tony Breazel (Jan). He was preceded in death by his siblings Jeanie Brown and James Whitt.

He also leaves behind our extended family — Jodee and Cheryl Sadowsky and The Crab Shack crew. Thanks to all friends and neighbors who supported him on his journey.

A celebration of life will be hosted by The Crab Shack on September 9th from 5 pm to 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Savannah and the Tybee Island American Legion Post 154.

Breezy, was a good friend over the past 26 years. We'd often sit together with Chris, Tony and other local at the Breakfast Club in the mornings for coffee, tea and occasionally one of Jodee's famous dishes. Since, WFBC changed hands after Jodee's retirement, I'd often see Breezy around the house when I was out walking Maggie. That he was a terrific guy is well-know by residents of Tybee over the years. His loss will be heartfelt by all of us. Rest in Peace, Breezy.

I am so saddened by this! I loved me some Breezy! A constant at the BC counter with his cup of tea—I still remember the time there was a big snow and he “complained “ about all the damn Yankees out driving around in it! Will definitely miss seeing him on my future trips to my favorite beach

- Lori Welker, Marietta, GA
